Há potencial para novos recordes de frio, inclusive com chance de temperatura negativa e até 30 de julho de 2021 , poderá chegar de até no máximo menos 16 graus negativo para a região do Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina , Paraná . A tendência é de uma sequência mais prolongada de dias de frio, que deve durar até o fim da primeira semana de agosto. Neste período, teremos as mínimas e as máximas mais baixas do ano, além de uma sensação de frio mais intensa provocada pela ação dos ventos e chuvas fortes em algumas regiões, mesmo que o clima esteja seco e com geadas e até possibilidade de neve em algumas regiões do Sul do país e países da América do Sul .
