This year, the festival, emphasized
local actions of citizenship and environment
preserving.
The Water was the highlight: A
wealth that makes Caxambú an unique
town, because its many water fountains with
medicinal powers.
The festival was on May 17 to 20, and
it offered to the population many free attractions,
such as movies exhibitions, dances, singing,
poetries, sport tournaments, lectures and
environmental education activities. All the
activities were about Water, with the theme “Water
for Peace”.
The goal of the event, every year, is
to get ecologic and artistic activities together,
and to inform everyone the necessity of preserving
the Nature, in special the water. It is important
that each one of us desire to contribute for a
better world. The initiative is from Novo Encanto
Association of Ecologic Development, in a
partnership with the local government and civil
society.
In open meeting to the public, where
it was presented results promises made on last
edition. The Municipal Government found good
solutions to the garbage recycling. They also have
presented actions with the partners Emater, IEF and
the Judiciary Power about preservation and
recuperation of the environment. Still in this
seventh edition, it was presented actions of
citizenship, environmental education and training of
children and teenagers. All of these projects were
supported by the Municipal Department of Education,
Clube Recreativo Atlético Caxambuense, Academia
Caxambuense de Letras, Centro Cultural Kaleidoscópio,
Livraria Sabor do Saber and Amag.
The Deputy Mr. Agostinho Petrus Filho
was honored by the realization of the Festival.
LECTURES OF PARANORMAL
The known Paranormal Jucelino Nobrega
da Luz specially contributed to their schedule, with
the lecture "Predictions, Water and Peace", in which
he talked about the worth of the Nature of Caxambú.
He warned that in view of changes
that are happening on Earth, it is even more needed
to preserve this treasure. The main message of the
paranormal was that all the local citizens should be
more fraternal, getting together for a better world.
THE CONTINUITY OF THE FESTIVAL
The Water Festival of the third
millennium is a continuous movement in favor of the
“Water and Peace”. It is an annual project, and it
is scheduled to the third weekend on May, every
year. All the ones who want to contribute with their
goals may look for the organization’s partners, in
Caxambu.
