Os danos da chuva na região serrana do Rio provocaram desabastecimento de alimentos na capital fluminense e região metropolitana. Segundo o secretário estadual de Agricultura, Christino Áureo, a área atingida concentra 18 mil produtores e responde por 41% da produção de verduras e legumes do Estado.
'A devastação é muito grande. Há algumas áreas em que o solo foi varrido, com lavoura, irrigação, armazéns, máquinas, imóveis. Há rochas imensas no meio de estradas vicinais que impedem o acesso ou o escoamento de qualquer produção', contou o secretário Christino Áureo, que percorreu ontem o corredor agrícola entre Friburgo e Teresópolis. Ele pediu à presidente Dilma Rousseff a prorrogação e até a liquidação de financiamentos agrícolas. 'Tem produtor que não tem nem de onde começar a reconstruir a propriedade.'
